Caroline Coomber School of Dance

COMPETITION

Falkirk  18 March 2018

What a fantastic day we had on Sunday 18 March at the Falkirk Dancesport Scotland Competition where we had three of our couples admirably representing our Dance School.

Everything was so well organised and everything ran very smoothly; a credit to the hard working Dancesport Scotland Committee. My teacher Kim Devine acted as compere for the day, making a fantastic job of helping the day run like clockwork. These competitions always have a wonderful atmosphere — and everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

Our six dancers looked amazing in their costumes and I am so proud of them all. They were up against some stiff opposition (including Championship level dancers) but they weren't at all phased by that and took everything in their stride.

Thank you also to all of you who travelled all that way to support us on the day. It is very much appreciated.

I am absolutely delighted with our results which are as follows:

Billy Wilson & Margaret Ryan
4th – Adult Social Dancers: Waltz & Quickstep
2nd – Adult Social Dancers: Cha Cha Cha & Rumba
2nd – Over 35 Beginners: Waltz & Quickstep
3rd – Over 35 Beginners: Cha Cha Cha & Jive

Peter Alexander & Joanne Bugden
3rd – Over 35 Intermediate: Waltz, Foxtrot & Quickstep
3rd – Over 35 Intermediate: Cha Cha Cha, Rumba & Jive

1st – Adult Social Dancers: Waltz & Quickstep
1st – Adult Social Dancers: Cha Cha Cha & Rumba
